Playing checkers and Chess
History lessons
Great discussions
And a lovely piano concert
Topped off with delicious
Home made pies

“Slap some bacon on a biscuit and let’s go! We’er burnin’ daylight!”
I think of this quote sometimes when I’m getting ready for work early in the morning and I silently reply to the character Wil Andersen that John Wayne played in The Cowboys (one of my favorite movies), “What you talkin’ about Wil, ain’t no daylight bein’ burnt around here, it doesn’t come up for two more hours!”

The Internet; it could be a wonderful learning tool advancing society and improving us as people. But mostly it reminds us of how far we haven’t come, tries to convince us of how inadequate we are, feeds us lies as if they are fact, crams the enemies plan into our minds and down our throats, distracts us so that we are thinking about his garbage and speaking his gibberish instead of dwelling in the peace and joy of the Truth.
