Once upon a time A curly headed toddler Dressed in denim Felt cowboy hat Bobbing atop her head Rode a little plastic pony As hard as it’s bouncy springs Would allow As she galloped with an Imaginary posse In search of the bad guys Pop-cap six shooters Strapped to her hips Occasionally peppering the air With snaps and pops The smell of sulphur Wafted through the air As warning shots were fired
The most significant thing I realized is that waiting is a creative action in itself… it creates more waiting. I had gotten comfortable in the waiting, became complacent and accepting of whatever came along even if it wasn’t what I really desired. That realization inspired this poem:
Trust your inner knowing Waiting is creating It creates more waiting Action for the sake of action Is not productive either
What might happen If your main action was Inspired excitement Towards what you love and Have joy in doing
You can choose To shift your energy To intentionally create What you desire
If deciding what you desire Becomes a stumbling block Reframe it as an exercise In having fun
Just get started Write something down The universe is limitless You can be too
The days and years Pass rapidly Whether or not You enjoy them
Why not live An inspired life Filled with love And joy
The lack of perfume on my dresser made me realize that I can buy myself whatever I choose but it’s still more fun to receive certain gifts from a man. Yes, I am old fashioned in certain ways.
When we let our light shine it pushes away all illusions and doubts and sparks hope. A hopeless world needs our help. It needs us to do our part in bringing happiness. Heaven looks to us with confidence that we will share it’s surety. For it is ours to share.
Whenever we try to share our light with the world there is a universal vibration that occurs. A ripple effect. Waves of hope spreading out endlessly. Until someone somewhere hears that voice of hope, the stirring of the truth within their mind, the gentle rustling of the wings of peace.
Someone somewhere is waiting for that peace of heaven that only you can share. Try and let your light shine bright today. Regardless of where you are or how you feel, embrace hope and let it shine.
Do you remember the song we sang as children? Sing it with me: 🎶 “This little light of mine, I’m gonna let it shine. Oh, this little light of mine, I’m gonna let it shine. Let it shine, all the time, let it shine.”🎶
Each day let me remember I am responsible for what I see.
When looking help me see past all egos at play, past any preconceived notions, past previous experiences, past the existing circumstances whatever they may be.
Help me look with fresh eyes, an open heart, and a curious mind. Help me remember I was created to share love, extend forgiveness, express gratitude, and walk in Your light.
