Depression is not always detectable, it can be a hidden condition. We may not realize the degree of hopelessness someone is feeling until it is too late to help them.
In this world inundated with technology and social media that preaches “community” and “connectedness” we can end up feeling inadequate, unworthy, unloved, separate and alone. Our lives are filled with so much work and “busyness” that it is easy to forget to take time to smile at a stranger, listen to a child or hug, really hug, a loved one. Try to slowdown for one minute today and notice someone in a positive way. Even if you think they are okay, extend a dose of extra kindness, be present with them for a moment, look them in the eyes, smile, give them a heartfelt hug.
Whoever you are, wherever you are, imagine I am right there with you, I see you, I am hugging you, I care about you, You are worthy, You were created because this world needs You, I love You, and You are not alone 💕
