Hope shines like a light

When we let our light shine it pushes away all illusions and doubts and sparks hope. A hopeless world needs our help. It needs us to do our part in bringing happiness. Heaven looks to us with confidence that we will share it’s surety. For it is ours to share.

Whenever we try to share our light with the world there is a universal vibration that occurs. A ripple effect. Waves of hope spreading out endlessly. Until someone somewhere hears that voice of hope, the stirring of the truth within their mind, the gentle rustling of the wings of peace.

Someone somewhere is waiting for that peace of heaven that only you can share. Try and let your light shine bright today. Regardless of where you are or how you feel, embrace hope and let it shine.

Heart chambers

Grief and suffering
Change the heart
Creating chambers
For feelings
That can’t be touched
By anyone but you

Invisible walls
Unseeable by others
Keeping you with me

Some days you visit often
In a million different ways
Some days you suddenly
Open the door
To a chamber
A memory
Inviting me to enter

Others think
The distance in my eyes
Is because
I’m lost in thought
Thinking about work
Or traveling
Or future plans

When really I am
Walking through
The maze of chambers
Deep inside my heart
Allowing myself to enter
An alternate time
And space

Holding onto the sight

Excelling at their purpose

There are silent workers
Toiling at their jobs
Making life easier for others
They go on
Unrecognized
Unthought of
Unheard
Unconcerned
With the latest politics
Unaffected by the latest
Social outcry
They continue tolling
Pulling up oil
To fuel industries that
Push out products
To line shelves with stuff
More stuff than is needed
But that is not their concern
They were created
To quietly toil
They know their purpose
They excel at it

Omnipotent Omniscient Omnipresent

Omnipotent.
Omniscient.
Omnipresent.
God.

Having unlimited power; able to do anything. Having ultimate power and influence. Knowing everything. All knowing. Constantly encountered. Present everywhere at the same time.

It takes courage to see God as He truly is. It’s much more comfortable to keep Him in a small box and decline the invitation to exercise the authority He gives us.

Lord, thank you for Your power, Your knowledge, Your presence. The authority You give us. The love You have for us. We believe You can make a way where we are unable to see one. Thank You for always taking care of me, especially in my darkest hours. For lifting me up when I wanted to stay down. What You have done for me, You can do for the person reading this, and even more. Bless them Lord, in a real and marvelous way. Give them courage to fully accept Your power in their lives, to welcome it, to allow Your full reign and expression in all areas of their being. Thank You for also doing these things in me. I love you. Amen

Radical Aliveness

Radical aliveness. This phrase tickles my fancy. It makes my mind spin with ideas. It sounds grand, but maybe it’s simple. I think I will try it. Test it out. See what it might look like. How it might feel. How it might effect my daily routine. What impact it might have on my decisions. Let it expand my awareness and stretch the boundaries of my being.

Rear view guidance

Rear view mirrors can be helpful in moving toward our destination. If we use them properly to look at all angles and check all sides, they are helpful guides. But if we stare too long in one direction, without looking at all angles, we can get ourselves into a predicament.

The rear view mirrors of life are the same way. Sometimes we have to look back in order to move forward. When looking back it’s important to remember the good and bad, without staring too long at either.

There are bright spots that deserve remembering, there are dark spots we would rather forget. They all have combined to bring us to the place we are today. They all have lessons in them.

When we stare too long at the good we can get caught up longing for the “good ole days” and miss the blessings in front of us. When we stare too long at the bad we can fall into a negative state of mind, get caught up in “what ifs” and “could have been” which drain our energy and cause us to miss the blessings in front of us.

But, when we look objectively at all angles, we are able to give thanks for the good times, and gratitude for the bad. Each experience can be used to guide us forward today toward the blessings in front of us.

Look at obstacles in a new way

We all respond to obstacles in different ways. And probably not in the same way every time. Give up or push through? The answer may depend on the type or size of the obstacle.

There are lots of things that can appear to block our path or hold us back: age, sex, race, distance, disability, money, fear, uncertainty, laws, fitness level, regulations, obligations, health, self-doubt.

What might happen if we chose to look at obstacles as opportunities? 🪨 Perhaps you’ve heard the old story about the hidden treasure a king hid under an obstacle he placed in the road? He blocked the road with a large boulder and hid a bag of gold coins under it as a reward for the person who expressed ingenuity and figured out a way to move the obstacle. Several people tried and gave up. Then a pauper came along and used a large branch as a lever to dislodge the massive rock from the road. 💰 When he moved the boulder he discovered the hidden treasure and a note from the king saying, “The obstacle in the path becomes the path. Never forget, within every obstacle is an opportunity to improve your condition.”

💡What if we envisioned a hidden treasure in every obstacle we face? Would we approach it differently? Would we be more tenacious in figuring out a solution? Might we use our creativity to come up with new ideas? If we saw unlimited opportunity to improve our future in it would we let temporary obstacles have so much control over our emotions?

Life is filled with obstacles, they are to be expected. The next time we encounter one let’s embrace it, turn it upside down, see it as an opportunity. Look, in creative ways, for the hidden treasure.

Let’s we see it as a message from our King. 👑
