Take That Step

“The best time for a new beginning is “now”. Go ahead, take that step you have been afraid to take. Move your life to the next level. You’ve got nothing to lose and so much to gain. You can do it! Take the step.”

Choices

At any given moment

the choices we make

can change the direction

that our lives forever take.

Some choices fence us in,

some set us free.

Often it is after we make them

That we learn which one it will be,

fenced in, or free.

At any given moment

the choice is ours to make.

Wrinkles At Bay

WRINKLES AT BAY

When I was young

the value of my beauty

I did not fully understand,

But now, as I age

the cost I comprehend.

If I had realized back then

wrinkles cannot be held at bay,

I may have lived my life

In a very different way.

More laughter and sun bathing,

laugh lines be damned

More tequila and much dancing

that would be my plan.

I would let the wrinkles come,

bathed by the sun,

and wear out the soles

of many boots

while having lots of fun.

Fallen

I was talking with my heart

And I asked why they call it

“Falling head over heels”

I mean, after all don’t we walk around

With our head over our heels all the time?

Shouldn’t it be called heels over head or boots over head?

My heart replied “head, heels, boots….whatever….I’ve unexpectedly and Divinely fallen and don’t intend to get up.”

Love is Patient

Love is patient.

Patience is difficult for some of us. We want what we want, we want it right now, and we get frustrated if it doesn’t happen in our time frame. How many times in our life have we looked back and realized if we had gotten what we wanted we would have missed out on a bigger blessing God had planned for us, or by forcing what we wanted, something better was delayed, diminished, or ruined by not waiting?

Practice patience today and thereby show love. (((hugs)))

Love is Kind

Love is kind.

Being kind in a world filled with the spirit of offence is difficult. It seems like everyone is easily offended by something I do or say or believe, or worse… they are passionately trying to offend my beliefs.

I start out each day with the intention of being kind. Some days my determination prevails to the end. Some days it doesn’t last past my morning coffee. Oh that we could be as kind as our creator as it states in His Word:

“For the mountains shall depart, and the hills be removed; but my kindness shall not depart from thee, neither shall the covenant of my peace be removed, saith the Lord that hath mercy on thee.”

Isaiah 54:10 KJV

Love is Humble

Love is humble.

Pride and ego often get in the way of relationships. It could be with a family member, a friend, a colleague, or God. Pride puffs us up and makes us want to be “right” or “the best”, sometimes at the expense of making others feel belittled, unloved, or forgotten. Often we don’t even realize we are hurting others. We are so caught up in our ego’s desire to feel important, or smart, or powerful or attractive that we fail to see the damage pride can cause.

Darkness pushes the me-me-me mentality. Wanting us to focus on “I” instead of “we”. Fostering separateness and individuality instead of togetherness and community. Wanting us to think our worth comes from the amount of our paycheck, or our job title, or condition of our body, or car we drive, or house we live in, or the people we associate with. It causes us to stay so busy chasing the wrong things that we sacrifice the important things.

It is a daily struggle to resist the effects of pride and ego, our own and others. Darkness does it’s best to keep us distracted from the Truth. Daily we need forgiveness for getting caught up in the darkness of this world. Daily we need to humble ourselves and serve others instead of focusing on ourselves. Daily we need to remember that our true worth comes through Christ.

Our acceptance of Jesus allows us to be covered by His sacrifice and filled with His Spirit so that we can enter the Holy presence of God Himself without fear. What a magnificent place it is. 💗

We Are Royalty

Dear Ladies,

We are in a time that calls for us to show our true strength. The strength that comes from a woman’s heart, from a woman’s mind, from a woman’s soul. The strength that can lift others up when we ourselves are crumbling inside. The strength that sees through the immediate suffering around us to a positive end result. The strength that allows men to be men and creates a safe place for them to rest. The strength that comforts children in distress and takes a moment to laugh and play with them letting them see that it’s okay to be okay in the middle of chaos. The strength that knows we will survive the aftermath of Irma and we will regroup, rebuild, replant. We are daughters of the Creator of all things, the most high King. We are royalty and real queens fix each other’s crowns even when we ourselves are feeling down.

Much love to you all 💕
