They go on
Unrecognized
Unthought of
Unheard
Unconcerned
With the latest politics
Unaffected by the latest
Social outcry
They continue tolling
Pulling up oil
To fuel industries that
Push out products
To line shelves with stuff
More stuff than is needed
But that is not their concern
They were created
To quietly toil
They know their purpose
They excel at it
