Love is Humble

Love is humble.

Pride and ego often get in the way of relationships. It could be with a family member, a friend, a colleague, or God. Pride puffs us up and makes us want to be “right” or “the best”, sometimes at the expense of making others feel belittled, unloved, or forgotten. Often we don’t even realize we are hurting others. We are so caught up in our ego’s desire to feel important, or smart, or powerful or attractive that we fail to see the damage pride can cause.

Darkness pushes the me-me-me mentality. Wanting us to focus on “I” instead of “we”. Fostering separateness and individuality instead of togetherness and community. Wanting us to think our worth comes from the amount of our paycheck, or our job title, or condition of our body, or car we drive, or house we live in, or the people we associate with. It causes us to stay so busy chasing the wrong things that we sacrifice the important things.

It is a daily struggle to resist the effects of pride and ego, our own and others. Darkness does it’s best to keep us distracted from the Truth. Daily we need forgiveness for getting caught up in the darkness of this world. Daily we need to humble ourselves and serve others instead of focusing on ourselves. Daily we need to remember that our true worth comes through Christ.

Our acceptance of Jesus allows us to be covered by His sacrifice and filled with His Spirit so that we can enter the Holy presence of God Himself without fear. What a magnificent place it is. πŸ’—

We Are Royalty

Dear Ladies,

We are in a time that calls for us to show our true strength. The strength that comes from a woman’s heart, from a woman’s mind, from a woman’s soul. The strength that can lift others up when we ourselves are crumbling inside. The strength that sees through the immediate suffering around us to a positive end result. The strength that allows men to be men and creates a safe place for them to rest. The strength that comforts children in distress and takes a moment to laugh and play with them letting them see that it’s okay to be okay in the middle of chaos. The strength that knows we will survive the aftermath of Irma and we will regroup, rebuild, replant. We are daughters of the Creator of all things, the most high King. We are royalty and real queens fix each other’s crowns even when we ourselves are feeling down.

Much love to you all πŸ’•

You Are Capable

Dear Ladies,

We are able to survive all of the “Are you freakin’ kidding me?!” moments that life throws at us.

We are capable of getting on our knees and pouring out our hearts to the only living God who dwells within us.

The peace that passes all logical understanding can fill us in a magical way.

So come on darlings, chin-up, stand tall, smile and move forward thru this beautiful day.

Much love to you allπŸ’•

I Love You

Depression is not always detectable, it can be a hidden condition. We may not realize the degree of hopelessness someone is feeling until it is too late to help them.

In this world inundated with technology and social media that preaches “community” and “connectedness” we can end up feeling inadequate, unworthy, unloved, separate and alone. Our lives are filled with so much work and “busyness” that it is easy to forget to take time to smile at a stranger, listen to a child or hug, really hug, a loved one. Try to slowdown for one minute today and notice someone in a positive way. Even if you think they are okay, extend a dose of extra kindness, be present with them for a moment, look them in the eyes, smile, give them a heartfelt hug.

Whoever you are, wherever you are, imagine I am right there with you, I see you, I am hugging you, I care about you, You are worthy, You were created because this world needs You, I love You, and You are not alone πŸ’•

It’s Always There

We know it is always there for us but we forget that scripture directs us to, “Put on the whole armor of God”, which is readily available to any Believer.

In the past few days I have been compelled to consciously think about putting on this armour, led to share this compulsion with you, and to ask you who are Believers to join with me in consciously putting on this armour.

God wants a personal relationship with each of us, but we have to take action to receive that relationship thru prayer; ask, seek, receive. He has provided direction for every area of our life thru His Word, but we have to take action to receive that direction by opening and reading the Bible. He has provided full protection for us against all things but we have to take action to receive that protection by putting on the whole armour of God.

Each morning I will be consciously reading and thinking about Ephesians 6:10-19 KJV and then praying for my son, my family, and each of you.

If possible open your Bible and read the verses. They are listed here for your convenience but nothing can replace your taking action, opening your own Bible, and reading God’s Word. If you do not have a Bible, message me your address and I will mail you one.

Ephesians 6:10-19 KJV

10 Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might.

11 Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.

12 For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.

13 Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.

14 Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness;

15 And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace;

16 Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked.

17 And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God:

18 Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints;

19 And for me, that utterance may be given unto me, that I may open my mouth boldly, to make known the mystery of the gospel,

Broken Promises

The story and poem behind this photo:

The story:

In 2013 a wonderful man, a man I will always love, had proposed to me and I had said yes. But when he placed the engagement ring on my finger the fear of failure overtook me. I could not stand the thought of another divorce. He tried to assure me we would not be another statistic but the pain of my past was too big.

This photo was taken the afternoon of our breakup. I stopped at a park to go for a walk and try to get control of my emotions. A few weeks prior a word of prophecy had been spoken over me at an event I attended with Kathy Allendorfer I won’t go into details but it involved butterflies. This butterfly was so beautiful and somehow I felt that it was a tangible sign from God that He was with me as I cried out to him in my pain.

The Poem: Broken Promises

We talked for hours

You made me laugh

Surprised me with gifts

Didn’t care about my past

I loved you more

than words could say

And it broke my heart

To have to walk away

You promised me

Everything I had ever wanted

Travel, Adventure, Security

But my heart was scarred and haunted

The cuts and brands of divorce

Created within me a deep

and terrible fear

I never expected to run

Until the ring appeared

Broken promises

Four times before

Suddenly I realized

I just couldn’t do this anymore

Marriage was once

my favorite thing

Now it’s just an illusive fantasy

And my love for you a forever dream

Beyond the Eye

10/2/2017 βš”οΈβ€οΈπŸ¦‹

This world is in a real battle that reaches beyond what is seen with the eye.

Each morning I am consciously following Ephesians 6:10-19 KJV and praying for my son, my family and you.

If you are a Believer in Christ, please remember you have the full armour of God available to you. If you don’t know Christ, He is available to you, right where you are, humble yourself and ask Him into your heart. He loves you and wants a personal relationship with you.

Maybe We Would See

The afterglow of sunset

Slowly fades away

Resting on the Caloosahatchee

A peaceful ending to a trying day

As I walk along the rivers edge

I wonder what would happen

If we simplified our lives and

gave thanks for what we have

Instead of working so many hours

To benefit others behalf

Maybe if we slowed it down

Took a breath instead of running all around

We would hear peace

Calling on the wind

Begging us to let it in

If we emptied ourselves of needless opinions

Opened our minds to higher vibration

Took time to take time

And enjoy each other

Maybe we would see

We are all sisters and brothers

Destination Unknown

Destination unknown

My how time has flown

So many plans when I was younger

Filled with passionate hunger

Time passed

Days turned to decades

Plans changed

Some passion remained

The road goes on and on

No end in sight

Until one day you realize

It could end at any time

I have loved

I have lost

I have laughed

I have cried

Learned lessons

Received wonderful blessings

Sometimes I wonder

I truly pause and ponder

What might have happened

If caution to the wind I had thrown

Grabbed a backpack and set off to

Destination unknown
